During the hair’s life cycle, its shedding is influenced by certain factors and can be more pronounced at certain times of the year. But do you know how to distinguish occasional shedding from that influenced by other factors?
In this article, learn how to distinguish the different types of loss caused by environmental stimuli and what to do about it.
WHAT CAN I DO TO PREVENT IT?
Start by choosing a shampoo suitable for fall-prone hair. Learn what kind of care your hair and scalp need and choose the right products for them. Avoid very hot water so as not to dehydrate the hair strands and make them more fragile. Use warm water and finish with cold water to close the hair’s cuticle.
Untangle your hair gently and opt for a conditioning cream, using a wide-tooth comb. Comb your hair slowly from tip to root. This way, you comb gradually and avoid both further damage and possible breakage.
Use the dryer at a low temperature and keep at least a 15 cm distance from the scalp. Avoid harming your hair with heat tools, and if you can't avoid them use a thermal hair protector.
Follow a diet rich in essential vitamins. Include salmon, dark leafy vegetables, beans and lentils, and nuts in your menu.
